Wrong Records will release Libby Johnson's solo debut 'Annabella' on
September 5. Johnson, a member of the band 22 Brides, delivers music with a plain spoken eloquence, reminiscent of the work of Chrissie Hynde, Joe Henry or Tom Petty. Her intense lyrical urgency, is brought to life by her smoky, rhythmic vocal delivery and lovely melodies while her arresting voice traffics in equal helpings of heartbreak and defiance.

It is ironic that on her most personal musical project to date, her songs
also serve another artist's work; Johnson contributed four songs to the film
"Trust The Man": the easy, organic "Don't Mean You Lost Your Love," the
hearty, Dylanesque "Rain," the loping "Every Broken Curve," and the catchy
"Indelible Mark," co-written with producer Daniel Wise (Scissor Sisters, Maceo Parker, David Poe) especially for the film.

When writer/director Bart Freundlich heard Johnson's music, he decided to
make it an integral part of the film, planning scenes around her music.
Johnson says, "I think that the themes of the film and the songs on my
record had a commality and that's why they worked well together. There was a lot of disharmony and resolution and the struggles that go on in a
relationship and the record and film both really speak to that."

"Trust The Man," a sharp, sophisticated comedy starring Julianne Moore,
David Duchovny, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Billy Crudup will be released
nationally September 1. Wrong Records will release the film's soundtrack on
September 5, which also includes tracks from Ben Harper, Rachael Yamagata, Leona Naess and Chocolate Genius.

With her sister Carrie, Libby Johnson is a founding member of the "tunefully
intense" (Billboard) band 22 Brides, winning a group of fans over the course
of three critically acclaimed albums in the 1990s.

A portion of the proceeds from 'Annabella' will go towards the American
Friends Service Committee, which carries out service, development, social
justice, and peace programs throughout the world.
